With reference to His Excellency the General Officer Commanding's letter No.2224/1A of the 20th instant, I am directed to inquire whether, in view of the fact that there are 2 Armourer Sergeants in the Colony and that Armourer Sergt. Blair is not available, His Excellency the General Officer Commanding would be prepared to sanction the engagement for service with the Police Force of the Armourer who does not already act as Armourer to the Hongkong Volunteer Corps.
